How would you describe yourself as a kid?
Always focused and always into fashion!
How was it to become a Mom?
Everthing changed completely. I sold my company the week after my son was born so I went from owning a company to becoming a full-time mom and this change was majorly drastic for me. It wasn't easy the latest week, like most moms, and definitely got to me. I had breastfeeding issues in the beginning and I also had an unplanned c-section that I wasn't really prepared for. So it wasn't an easy transition for me. This first only...
How do you balance your life as a businesswomen, wife and mom?
I work a lot and there's no real balance. That's the hardest thing and you just have to manage everyday differently.
Can you share your beauty tips with us?
My number one tip is that I go the Drybar once a week and get a blowout. It lasts me for an entire week so when I leave the house everyday with my kids I don't even look at myself in the mirror because my hair is blown out and it kind of sustains me (laughs). It's an hour a week that I just keep for myself. I'm not going to the gym because I don't have time but I do always make time for Drybar.
What’s your “me” time?
Well if I do have "me" time, I'm working. Most of the time, and I know it will get better, but I just feel that is what I should be doing. Even when I'm at Drybar, I'm still working and I do emails. For 40 minutes straight, I get all my emails done. If I actually don't do that, my emails tend to get backed up. That's one of the rare moments when I can work uninterrupted.
What’s your motto as a mom (if you have one)? Something that you keep reminding yourself?
We are still hard on ourselves sometimes so I try to take each day with a greater soul and take a step back. I try to reevaluate the situation when I'm overwhelmed. This is really special time raising children, especially at this young age. It's important to always know that it goes by so quickly and to embrace every moment with them.
What do you wish for your kids?
I wish for my kids to always have that sense of compassion for others and be loving. I wish for them to be thankful and grateful for others.
Because a mom’s life can be challenging and because we all have bad days, what do you tell yourself when you loose it?
Oh being a mom! You don't loose sight of the cool stuff by being of mom. You can still have the life that you had and great kids too. You are a mom. You are a human and you're raising children and you have to have some time to yourself. But you need to embrace it, the goods and bads, because it goes by so quickly.
How would you describe your style for your kids’ room décor?
I love white. I like my kids rooms being very clean, minimal and modern. I like the Land of Nod. Oeuf NYC is another big one for me as well as Serena & Lily. That's kind of my style.
